Analogue hardware design. We have experience in designing analogue audio and video switching, amplification and routing circuits and an appreciation of the PCB design techniques required for such circuits. We can take into account balanced pairs, ground plane screening and matched impedance where required. We also have experience in many other types of analogue circuits, including switched mode power supplies, once again with a full appreciation of grounding techniques, component placement and current flow.Digital hardware design. We have experience in designing microcontroller based circuits using 8/16 bit microcontrollers utilising internal/external RAM and non-volatile flash memories. Interfacing with communications such as RS232, RS485, SPI and I2C.We are also familiar with utilisation of peripheral interfaces such as PWM modulation, A-D capture and multiple timer triggered events and outputs and with CPLD programming utilising VHDL/AHDL.Wireless communications.Whilst not R.F. designers, we have utilised bands such as 433/868MHz for two way wireless communications using a bespoke (built from the ground up) data format/packet structure and utilising the well known manchester encoding technique to ensure reliable R.F. transmissions.Simulation.If required, we can simulate the hardware circuit before a breadboard stage or PCB layout using programs such as LTspice®.
